The Malaysian Equine Council was officially incorporated on 12th January, 1993. Its main aim is to act as a catalyst or agent to facilitate growth and development in all aspects of equine activity in Malaysia.
Key Objectives
To act as the national body to promote all forms of equine and equestrian activity and to serve as an umbrella organisation to coordinate the activities of all other entities and organisations which promote and participate in the development of equestrian or horse-related sports.
To act as a consultative body to the government on matters relating to equine activities.
To promote the improvement of the overall standard of horsemanship and horsemastership.
To promote the development of career equetrian professionals eg. coaches, trainers, farriers and stable hands
To promote the establishement of public riding centres and provide technical advice and material support in setting up and management of such facilities.
