Riding in Schools Programme providing training in horse care and management and riding to Teachers in Malaysia and children from ages of 10 - 16 years. This program also establishing the Pony Club Movement in schools.
Aim
To develop broad-base participation in equestrian Sport by creating interest in and love for horses through establishment of Pony Clubs in Schools.
To encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of Sport connected with horses.
To give instruction in Riding and Horsemastership and to educate members to look after and to take proper care of their animals.
To promote the highest levels of Sportsmanship, Citizenship and Loyalty, to create strength of character and self discipline.
Objectives
Establish collaboration between Majlis Ekuin Malaysia and The Ministry of Education; Ministry of Youth and Sports; State Education Departments and Riding Centres.
Establish Pony Clubs in all participating Schools.
Develop an organisational and training structure based on the Pony Club Concept and implement the Project.
