| Corporatised on 12 January 1993, Maljis Ekuin Malaysia
MEM) was set up to be the catalyst for the development
of equine activities in Malaysia.

| The Council's main objectives are to : |

| Key Objectives |
- Developing professional coaches and farriers
through accredited training;
- Enhancing knowledge and skills in horse care
and management through various courses;
- Extending the pool of talented riders through
initiatives such as the Riding in Schools Programme
and Malaysian Pony Club;
- Assisting in the training and development
of young equestrian athletes through the National
Sports Council and Bukit Jalil Sports School;
- Supporting the efforts of equestrian centres
and associations, including the Riding for the
Disabled Association and the Paralympic Association.
